Timothy M. Dixon is a partner of the Janey and Dixon, P.C. His primary practice is as a trial attorney. Tim has spent much of his career in public service prior to entering private practice. He was a state prosecutor in the Baltimore City States Attorney's Office and Associate Legal Counsel to the Baltimore Police Department. As a practitioner, Tim provides counsel, legal advice, and litigation representation to private clients, organizations, and businesses. He practices on every trial court level throughout Maryland with an emphasis in Civil Litigation. Before entering private practice, Tim was an Assistant State's Attorney serving under State's Attorney Patricia Jessamy in the Baltimore City State's Attorneys Office. While there he prosecuted a variety of cases at the trial court level including drug and gun crimes. Tim prepared cases from the rudimentary level through trial and disposition and sentencing. He interviewed witnesses and evaluated evidence while readying cases for trial, resulting in numerous trial verdicts and victories. Tim is also an adjunct faculty member at the Baltimore City Community College, where he instructs in both in both civil and criminal law, in the Criminal Justice Department. He teaches courses to both professionals and students. He has taught classes ranging from criminal procedure to classes pertaining to consumer issues. Tim Dixon also served as a guest lecturer to the Criminal Justice Department at the University of Maryland and Coppin State College. As a law student Tim, was active as a member of the University of Baltimore School of Law's trial team in the American Association for Justice competition. He was also had the privilege to serve as a law clerk intern under Circuit Court Judge K. O'Ferrall Friedman. Tim also participated in the Criminal Practice Clinic where he was able to practice in the Baltimore City State's Attorneys Office and tried many cases before graduating from law school. Also as a student he authored papers on such controversial issues as Fourth Amendment search and seizure and the Sixth Amendment right to counsel. Timothy Dixon is also a member of many civic organizations. He attends the Greater Hope Church of God In Christ regularly. Tim is also a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Prince Hall Freemasons. Professionally, he is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Monumental Bar Association, and American Association for Justice.
